Hey all,

I am DACA approved and will go get my permit in NJ. In order to get a permit, I need to provide a 6-point ID, which is just a series of documents to prove I am eligible for a permit/license. Valid documents are listed in a guidebook provided by the DMV, but there isn't info about people with DACA.

Can anyone help me find out what document I will need to bring in as a replacement?

The link is here:
http://www.nj.gov/mvc/pdf/Manuals/drivermanual.pdf

The list of documents starts on page 13. To be specific, I don't know what primary document I can bring. I will probably bring my transcript/ID card, my HS diploma, and SS card to fulfill the secondary document requirement for a total of 4 points.

EDIT: I think the employment card fulfills the primary requirement or 3points but I am not 100% sure. Also, is anyone from NJ got a permit/license and used a schoolID and transcript as a document, did you bring in an official transcript or can an unofficial transcript be printed from the school database.

When I applied for my state ID I also had to bring in documents adding up to 6 points. I actually bought everything i had. I bought in my EAD letter of approval, EAD card, social secuirty card, debit card and college diploma. The lady took everything and looked over them. She had to run my EAD and s.s card through immigration which only took a few minutes.

I live in NJ. I went to Edison DMV and brought, EAD with social (3 points) and college id with official transcripts (had to request them online, DMV people didn't even bother opening them) and I think a bank statement or social security envelope for proof of address, or both.
