Been following all of you for a couple of days now and I'm on the same boat. I won't go into detail but I've been here since 2nd grade went to a community college paying out of state fees. When I transfered to a universtiy system I applied for the AB 540, CA in-state tuition, it helped but it was still alot of money since I couldn't get financial aid. Not having a DL has made my life miserable. I would wake up at 5 a.m. pretty much every day to get the public transportation for two hours to get to school at 8 a.m. and I wouldn't get home until midnight to only have 3-4 hours of sleep and start my routine again. I'm a teacher without a job, well you know why. I pray everyday and I have faith that the dream act will pass. Sometimes I get discouraged because I'm hitting the 30 year mark, but GOD is good to me and I know it will pass before I turn 30. I'ts good and encouraging to read all the effort everyone in this forum is making.

I pray to the Lord everyday too. Even if it doesn't pass with 60 votes, God will still help us in the future.

Welcome! It's good to see that another teacher is on board. I graduated in May 2007 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Hopefully we will both be teaching next year.
