texas roadhouse issues

So I recently got hired at texas roadhouse and when they tried to put me in the system it showed an error with my ssn.

Evidently the system they use does not allow my type of ssn to be entered into their system.

Q #1? Does it take some time for our ssn to be valid?

Q #2? Is this something I should take up with eeoc?

The managers were very cooperative and offered to do anything they could to resolve the issue so I don't want to take any action that could prevent me from being hired there in the end. ..

some people have had to call the background system the company uses in order to have them put in the system.

i dont think it's the "type" of SSN but could be the fact that the SSN is new. so you may need to fax a copy of your SSN and maybe your DL/ID to the background company.

Yeah, find out what background check company they use, call them and just explain you just got your ssn and is new.

Well, if they do the E-Verify thing (by the USCIS) they shouldn't have a problem. However, if they do it with an outside agency, that might be the problem. Don't just jump to the conclusion that they don't wanna hire you (or that you want to sue, that would be stupid), just consider that since you have a new SSN that might be the problem.

Well I found another bartending job now so hopefully they don't use a third party verification company.
