Hi all I hadn't formally introduced myself even though I joined the forum a while back. My story is not like the many of you as I came when I was 14 years old to the USA. I'm now 24. I came with a visa however that visa expired and now I'm in the same boat as you guys. Many of you might know my nick name from COSA I've been a member there since almost the beginning of COSA. Anyways, when I was in high school I didn't know my status would be the reason of the tons of problems I've had until today. Every day when I walk outside my house to the movies or to school or simply to the park I ask myself if that will be the last time I see my house. I bet some of you guys can relate to that. I'm efin tired of that, I'm tired of not having a license, of not having health insurance, and of not being able to work!!!!. When I graduated from high school I couldn't believe a person without papers couldn't or were not allowed to work!!! I just couldn't conceive it!!! Anyways years passed and I was lucky enough to obtain a track scholarship at my local community college. However it didn't last very long as when I went to speak to the office of international students about my situation, the stupid lady put me on hold until 2099 (for registration purposes) because of my status. My scholarship was taken away from me and also the opportunity to compete at nationals. After that I lost a year of school, then I got another scholarship to go to a major university in my state but not in my hometown. However I didn't have a job and it got hard to have to pay for an apartment, so I eventually had to come back to my hometown. Today I'm currently attending the University of Arizona on even another scholarship (this one private) that pays for the difference of me being considered an Out of State student (because of prop 300 undocumented pay out of state now) I now only pay instate. However the never ending difficulties we have to endure are a burden and I am sick of it. I hope the Dream Act passes soon so that I can have a job and stop living off of other people's money.

DREAM ACT NOW!!!
