"The evidence you submitted with your Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, to establish that you have continuously resided in the United States during the 5-year period immediately before June 15, 2012, and up to the time of filing is insufficient. You have not submitted proof of residence for up to the time of filing in 2012. You may still submit evidence, which may include bla bla bla.

So is it asking me for evidence of 5 years or just 2012?

I'm confused.

Thanks in advanced

if my reading comprehension is correct then what they are asking for seems to be a small gap

"continuously resided in the United States during the 5-year period immediately before June 15, 2012, and up to the time of filing is insufficient"

immediately before June 15, 2012 means that either you have not met the June 15th requirement of they are looking for 1 or 2 months before June. so, May, June, July, etc

and

up to the time of filing means the date that USCIS actually received your application.

so, if you filed your app in let's say September, then USCIS is looking for the months of May, June, July, August and September.

hopefully that makes sense. you can always call and ask to clerify what they are asking for.
