Hi, I helped my husband send in his DACA application. We did it ourselves, no lawyer. I got the UPS delivery receipt, says it was delivered July 2nd, 2013.

Here's what we sent (besides the I821d, i765 and i765WS):
Identity: 3 high school IDs, current Matricula Consular
Presence before 16: High School transcripts, 2003-2007
June 15, 2012: Paystub from 6/29, worked on 6/15; paystub from 6/15 (works under fake social)
High School Graduate: copy of HS Diploma, 6/14/2007

Continuous Residence from June 15, 2007:
- Bank Statements for every month from 11/2007 to 04/2011 (we had to buy them from the bank, $5 each, but worth the investment)
- Affidavit from his Mom, his stepdad, his cousin, and 2 of his old neighbors, and me, covers from 2006 to present, mostly from 2006-2011 because that's when he moved out with me.
- Insurance statement from me showing he's been on my health insurance since 01/2011 to present
- Dental records from 11/2011 to present, he has braces
- for proof he's still here as of the date of application, a paystub dated 6/28

after reading through the forum, this is how we arranged it:

those folders with the long metal things on top that you put through the holes to hold them in place on each side, hole punched everything (2-hole punch), I bought tabs and placed them on the bottom of each section. each section was basically what I listed in BOLD, and I broke up the evidence by year. and of course, 2 passport-sized photos, and a personal check from my bank for the $465.00.

I know it's really late, but better late than never right? I'm posting this because I figure that just as we waited to apply, there must be people out there in the same boat, and hopefully this helps. I'll keep my timeline updated with his info

Hey at least you sent it in instead of relying on CIR like many people.

Good luck! There's no 'right time' to send it as long as you do, we all had our issues as to why sending our applications the time we did (April for me).

Honestly, we were waiting to apply because we were hoping to see the immigration reform get passed, but after consulting a lawyer, she told us to apply for DACA. I'm a permanent resident (working on becoming a citizen, that packet's in progress too), and she said that right now, there's a loop-hole where once he gets approved for DACA, we can just file an adjustment of status after I petition him (so form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative then I-485 Adjustment of Status). I don't want him to go back to Mexico to apply, since normally he'd have to because he came here without inspection with his Mom in '97. So...this is our best shot so our little family won't be separated and he'll be able to get a better job!

Thank you! Hopefully everything will go without a hitch. I'm a bit nervous because I'm pretty sure his application will get sent to CA, and I checked the USCIS website and they're still working on October 2012 applications, so I'm assuming it'll take longer. but it's okay, something's way better than nothing!

I didn't know they accepted personal checks. The lawyer I consulted told me I should send a postal money order or similar. But it looks like you sent enough info to prove he qualifies. If he has a clean record and no arrests then he should be fine. And even if he did court dispositions will cover that part.

I checked the USCIS website, it said that personal checks would be accepted and charged as ACH transfers...I hope I did it correctly

okay, I double-checked the website because I remembered something about only in field offices, but that has to do with credit cards

Hey we got the letter last week that they received his app. My personal check already cleared, and since I have my online banking, I have a picture of the check for my records
