Hey! I have a question regarding the learner's permit for people living in NYC. Will the permit be any different compared to the permits of US citizens? Please help. Thanks.

Yes it has red lettering stating that the document does not grant lawful status i the USA

It looks exactly the same as a driver's permit issued to anyone else who has a work permit or a valid visa. Ie. the permit has red lettering saying "TEMP. VISITOR EXP: MM-DD-YY", whereas the MM-DD-YY is the date when your work permit expires.

Here's a picture of what it looks like:



Also if you're under 21 the ID number and date of birth will be in red and text "UNDER 21" will be present vertically between the picture and all the information.

don't worry, any other visa holders license will look exactly the same with different dates. my buddies with F-1, H-1 also got that stamp.
