I will have 10 months this week. My question is how freaking long can USCIS make someone wait on a case? Is there really nothing we can do? So from my understanding they can take years if they want to approve someone's case even though the processing time limit is 6 months. I'm just think its ridiculous that some of us have to wait 10 months or even 1 year almost to get approved. There has to be something we can do.

I think they have priority levels and we're at the bottom of EAD approvals.
There's nothing we can do, why? It's because DACA does NOT have a timeline or processing time. The EAD time starts AFTER approval for your DACA. Technically speaking you could wait those 10 months plus 6 more for the EAD, but they approve both pretty much around the same time.

For me, a replacement card takes 1-3 months and it took about 8 months!!

I don't have a complicated case and that is why i don't understand. I sent in all the information they wanted. I don't have a criminal record or anything. I don't know how to get a solid answer from them. Any idea on how to get a solid answer? I just want to know why they are taking so long with my application. I have the same paper work like everyone else who is getting approved in less than 3 months. i just don't get it.

It all depends on the person verifying your paper work.

Well its pretty stupid how they are running this whole process. I wouldn't mind waiting if they would give me a real reason to why its talking so long instead of an automatic reply all the time with the same BS on it. I don't think it takes 10 months for them to do a back ground check when everyone else who is barely applying is getting approved before us. Thanks for the reply though.
