My friend's case
USCIS received application onNovember 14 2012.
No updates until
June 19, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

I did a research on june 19, most of the posts said that within a couple of days they got approved but my friend is still waiting. Any idea as to what this could be?

No i got that back in jan and didnt get approved until 3 days ago as far as i know that means that she had a previous alien reg number and it got changed back

yep and also, if someone has a previous A# from a different USCIS, they should have stated so on the application.
