Dear Web Editor,
The reason for my e-mail today is to inform this credible news institution about the changes that have been made to the Dream Act. The Dream Act as it stands today in the senate has been modified to make it more amenable to current political environment. The legislation now has a cap at 30 years of age and the in-state tuition has been taken out; Senator Durbin made these changes as a means to garner more support for the legislation. The Dream Act only applies to a specific category of the undocumented population, only to those who were brought to the states before the age of 16, graduated high school, and to earn their legalization must either, perform two years of military service, or graduated from an accredited two-year institution of higher education. The Dream Act is being misinterpreted through out the political spectrum it is only fair as a credible news institution to report accurate and up to date information.
