I've been making a list of useful things I've learned growing up and I plan to share it in a facebook blog.

Do you have any tips to add? or comments on the ones I've provided?

1. A person is more likely to think you are intelligent if you agree with their views than if you were to give a full discourse on the function of the world.
2. Humour and music, as different as they may be, are more based on delivery than content.
3. Being mature is acknowledging that you’re not mature and never will.
4. Most every problem stems from ignorance, misunderstandings, and insecurities.
5. Don’t be afraid of change. Survival of the fittest does not refer to the strongest or smartest individuals; it refers to the individuals most responsive to change: The adaptive.
6. Having an argument is more about winning, than it does about being right.
7. Prepare for the worst case scenarios, because you won’t have time when they actually come around and don’t be afraid to willfully put yourself in those scenarios.
8. Question people’s sources.
9. Don’t focus too much on the leaves, because you’ll miss the trees, and if you focus too much on the trees, you’ll miss the path. Learn to unify the image.
10. Learn to give and receive unconditionally.
11. Express your concerns and discomforts in any sort of interpersonal relationship. People are not mind readers and it is easy for any individual to differentiate between their thoughts and what they've already expressed.
12. With regards to #11, also express positive feelings. Sincerely thank people, and acknowledge their importance. People are naturally self-conscious.
13. Learn to care for people; learn to see yourself in them, because familiarity is a factor for being compassionate, considerate, and sympathetic.
14. When in doubt, go with your gut feelings.
15. Don’t take anything personally.
16. There are two general approaches to learning how things work: Theorizing the potential outcomes through other encounters, and separately, observing the outcomes by applying the action. One gives you reasons, the other gives you outcomes.

4. Most every social problem stems from ignorance, misunderstandings, or insecurities.

6. Arguments should be about learning, but many people will focus more on “winning”.

17. When in a position of authority on a subject, use your position to educate, not to boast.
18. A few seconds of silence when angered can prevent days of discomfort and regret.
19. Verbal language accounts for roughly for a very small percentage of communication, so learn to analyze tone and body language.
20. Save vulgarity for moments that actually demand it. Much like phrases of strong endearment, constant use makes the terms insignificant.
21. Nothing in life is free; the payment is just different.
22. Art is subjective.
23. Don't get hung up on your mistakes. Learn to let go and make the best of what's ahead.

I don't agree with 3
I don't agree with 4 because you have to give what kind of problem? If its a just a social one then yes you'd be correct, if you're talking tangible items then a problem could occure from let's say.. A mechanical failure.
I strongly agree with 5, probably the best one on there.

Overall, very good and I'll try adding if something comes to mind.

Yeah 3 is more abstract than anything. And yes 4 was referring to social problems.

Based on how people respond, I'll probably be updating this list. It needs to be perfect :P

Don't get hung up on your mistakes. Learn to let go and make the best of what's ahead.

Probably the most important thing I have learned since leaving high school.
