We Did Our Best

Thanks for all your support and calling. Our efforts were unrelenting but I suppose the word amnesty will always haunt this immigration umbrella. Stay strong!

Those senators should still be given the chance to vote despite not being present. It is unfair. I know this is easier said than done, but please don't give up on hope for this. I can't say I'm not surprised by the outcome because this always happens before any presidential election coming up. Immigration was, is, and always will be a hot button issue and will always have sharp divisions and it will always be seen before presidential elections. We'll have to wait until the next president takes office for any major legislation to happen. It's the sad reality. Stay strong and stay together!

sigh......i think we have to wait until next year maybe 2009.....not sure.......my age is keep growing..... i don't want to waste my time in here for nothing....

Whatever happened with them? Didn't they say something that they were gonna do after the voting was done?

Did you see the post about Hutchinson's compromise on CoSA? Apparently it was to change a path to citizenship to work and student visas. As for what they said, I don't know. All signs point to nothing happening soon.

I almost don't want to touch the other posts. They're like monuments to the storm. There we were, so sure, so excited...It's inviolable.
