I know it says not to do a infopass but will it hurt to try? I just wanna know if they know if I'm close to a decision. Because I got this letter from a service request in the mail from the service center. "Our records show that your I-821D is currently pending adjudication. We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date for your I-821D. We apologize for the delay." I wanna know if my background/security checks are complete. Because back in June I got a letter that I was put on processing hold because I was pending background checks but now I got a letter this month that I am "PENDING ADJUDICATION"?!?! I'm about to hit 1 year of waiting August 23, it wouldn't hurt to try right?

Alex, there's this chick that made a thread in the Univision forums saying that she was already pass her 11 months and that she decided to do an info pass.

Well she ended up scheduling an appointment and she said that everything went well she didn't get denied an info pass because her DACA is pending even though it says for DACA peeps not to do an info pass but anyways she also mentioned that the IO answered all her question and that she was going to get a final decision either this month or next.I was going to do an info pass after the Congressman option. You should because you have nothing to lose and you will not get into any trouble because of it.

For me it was "Well if nothing happens with my Congressman and he just gets the same replies that i do than ill go ahead and make an info pass"

Can't hurt to try, but others have already done it, and the officers at the infopass appointment can't tell you much more than the phone operators can.

Perhaps they'll be able to see if your application has cleared the background checks, but other than that, they'll just tell you that it's waiting to be reviewed.

So I should go ahead and make an infopass appointment?

No you won't get into any trouble and yes she did it, the appointment would be at the same USCIS center where you took your Biometrics.

If you want to and have the time to go to one. You won't get in trouble for it.

What should I bring with me? And what should I expect if you know?

Copy of infopass appointment confirmation, photo ID, receipt and biometric letters.

Not sure what you can expect.
