We just launched a free and non-profit web service to help people complete immigration documents. Only DACA applications are supported at the moment, but this will change in the future as we continue to observe how the current reform plays out.
Currently, we are calling it The Documentation Project (not too clever, we know ).
We would like your help to move this website out of the beta stage and help us get ready for the future. So please try everything out and let us know what you think. It is still rough around the edges, but with this community's input, we hope to make tremendous improvements. As of right now, the server is hosted on a rather slow machine, so please be patient if the website loads slowly.
Out hope is that this website will make filling out immigration documents a snap- it takes care of entering repeating data across different documents automatically. For instance, I-821D, EAD document, EAD worksheet and the Electronic notice form all require you to enter your name. If you use our website, you'll only have to input those fields once- all else is taken care of for you. Likewise, correcting errors is very easy. You won't have to use the clumsy Adobe reader or reprint a blank form to fix a typo.
After filling out necessary fields, you'll have a complete DACA application, ready for printing in one go.
Convenience aside, we want to promote transparency within the immigration system. By making access and creation of immigration documents easier, we hope that people can take greater control of their application process. Our vision is that this website will be used by activists at DACA workshops en masse, individuals completing their own paperwork, or clients working with their lawyers.
Spanish and Korean translations are coming soon. Other languages are planned to be added later.
We will not be charging anything, but we appreciate small donations to help support continued development of this project.
