What do you guys think of such? Is it worth it to leave a job for a temp agency? They have these amazing job opportunities but horrible reviews... what do i do? I was asked to go in monday for an "interview" for a temp to hire type of job... I seriously dont want to be bouncing from place to place... I want a real job....

It depends. Are these temp jobs in an industry you hope to work in? Then it might be worth it to get experience in a field you have no experience in. Also some temp jobs have possibility of full time hire if they like you,

Temp agencies are horrible. You basically get to be the abused stepchild at a company where everybody else there works less than you and gets paid more and has benefits.

Some temp agencies do offer benefits. At least the two I looked into did. Ended up finding a job in my field on my own.

It's not all bad. The reason they have such high turnover rates is because they are shit jobs. Period. I would know, I got my current job through a temp agency, but Ive been lucky.

I'm guaranteed 40-50 hours weekly. They flexible with school for those who need it, and I was promoted after just 2.5 months to an assistant supervisory role.

Granted, that's an exemption, but its possible to be brought on permanent. If you can deal with mundan tasks for a while.

Temp agencies are there to beef up your résumé, not for the pay+stability. If you start thinking about pay and hours, you have the wrong idea. It's to get that dream job 6 months later after you have beefed up your skills and résumé.
