I think it should apply because it effects all schools.

ab540 doesnt apply for privates,... but most privates dont care about your legal status, they just want your money

are you applying to a uc, or cal state? if you dont have social security number, you have to go register in person. and leave the number part blank. if they ask you why its blank, tell them you are an ab540 student.

Leave it blank.. applying is really easy

1. When I applied I checked "Non resident."
2. I got in the school as a "Non Resident."
3. I printed out the AB540 form, filled it out and got my high school transcript and turned it in to the admin office.

The only trouble I had was when I tried to pay for my fees online it was like $10,000!! But I just called them and I told them I have the AB540 waiver and they changed it ASAP. I'm sure it's the same for grad school.

Well, I was thinking either a MS in organic chemistry or a MBA. I have a job offer at a chemistry firm but it seems so iffy that I'm just contemplating on going back to school if they are not going to actually let me start. If I do get to work then I would like to work on a MBA, but ultimately, my goal is to become a doctor. I actually do have a social security and I am planning on applying to the Cal State's since they are cheaper in tuition I believe and less strigent requirements. So I'm guessing it does apply for grads at the cal states right? Thanks guys.

Also, one more question....If we qualify for in-state tuition...do we have to show an affidavit showing that we can afford the program because international students have to show a bank statement showing that they can fund the program. Is anyone in graduate school right now under the AB 540? Thanks again guys.
