We need to think of a dramatic You Tube promo. Don't have to show faces. Actually having covered faces adds drama. If you have the right catch it could bring in millions of hits and news exposure. Just brainstorming.

1.) Two year old child playing in pre-school with cover over head.
2.) Six year old celebrating Haloween with mask on.
3.) Eight year old reciting the pledge of alligence in class, cover over head. (Maybe the cover should be the flag?)
4.) Ten year old at a football game standing for the star spangeled banner with hand over heart.
5.) Twleve year old celebrating Christmas.
6.) Fourteen year old weeping after 911. Audio no face.
7.) Sixteen year old cheering for the US in the olympics.
8.) Eightenn year old receiving high school diploma.

Need to think of a dramatic end to promote Dream.

These are great ideas, TIKVA. I have no experience shooting film and I don't have a web camera, but I could help with a script if necessary.

I'm glad you joined. A lot of the people here became disenfranchised after the DA was shot down in the Senate. It's good to see someone still motivated and taking charge.

We could end it as if a dreamer got his bachelors degree on something but at the end he goes to work on a contruction site because he or she doesn't have a ssn and dies in a tragic accident.. i hope this helps..

Or...

I like the symbolism of the graduate with the tied hands (they use that in one of the DREAM Act groups from Facebook)... we could have someone with a gaduation cap and gown standing in front of a university, looking up to it from the bottom stairs... and have his/her hands tied in the back... something along those lines... you could even have other ppl who are in their gowns walking up those stairs (to show the difference between the Dreamie who can't go and those who can).

This sounds very GOOD, the life of a "Dreamer" from child to teenager. Great idea. for me, those steps cover it all...

I wish we could publish that on the TV, we should creat a fund just for that purpose. ANybody have a proffessional filming camera, for TVs???

I don't think the working in construction part would be good - because you don't want to imply that Dreamies are "better"than people who work in construction - remember most people don't have a college degree. And holding down a job in construction is perfectly honorable work. I would go with a dreamie just wandering the streets or something. - I think you want to imply no future at all.

I agree, MrsMom. Also, the die in a tragic accident thing was a little dramatic.

How much does it cost to get a commercial on TV? A whole whole whole lot, or just a lot? I'm thinking the former, but perhaps it's within reach? It would be awesome.

I also agree with MrsMom. Many people earn an honest living in construction.

There is a lot of work to do. Give me a little time to write out a plan of action and instruction for all of you to review, regarding You Tube concept.

Hold up, hold up. Are you talking seriously Come on lets Spit the TRue things that are happening. Maybe mrs.mom doesn't "know" What is really happening" First of all TOp notch Undocumented students have gone through a hard life. Lets face it. I knoW THERE ARE students that have made it thru school with A's and gotten a bachelors degree or greater and at the end they end up Working in a dangerous work-site and some times dying, it doesn't have to be construction. But making a movie about dream or anything has to be dramatic. Why? cus it's happening. If you don't have A valid identification in this country the employers can take advantage of you. I mean these people are being exploited and threaten to calling ICE!! THis is how dramatic it can be. This is reality. We need to make the movie or what ever to Raise awareness of what is truly happening behind the scenes, let's not hide it. Most of the undocumented population are well exposed to the danger(chemicals in the agriculture area, accidents in the construction area, or other ares) exploitation and the Intimidation.. That's how real it can get. If you don't see it then It will be hard to be understood by the public.

No offense...
