I'm applying for an FHA home loan and the lender is requesting the Employment Authorization Document, I told her that is the EAD card. She told me no that she needs the document, not the card. Am I wrong? Am I missing a document? I thought they were the same thing.

Just take the two letters approving DACA and work authorization + the approval letter your card was wrapped in... I think?

The card is the Employment Authorization document, but she must want to see the I-765 approval letter.

Yes, it would be a good idea to have the letter, that's your proof that you were approved for the EAD.

I would contact USCIS and ask them for it. They will probably try to charge you, tell them that you're not trying to get a replacement, that they never sent you one.

Now I am confused. What does the approval letter look like? I don't think I got it.

After you were approved, but before your EAD arrived, you should have gotten two letters in the mail. Those are the approval letters, one for the I-765 and the other for the I-821D. In the letters they say that you were approved for DACA, and the other that you were approved for Employment Authorization.

I only received one letter. Just great. Did everyone get two approval letters?

Yes, everyone is supposed to get them, and most people did.
