I purchased the ps3 on launch day with money given to me for doing a big favor. However, now that I work and make good money, I feel like the ps4 is too expensive (console $400 + tax ($40) + video game ($65) + 1 year PSN subscription ($50)) for a total of $550. I can put those $550 towards a brand new car or something much better, so money is not an issue.

The only reason why I want the ps4 is solely for Battlefield 4 and Bad Company 3-- if it ever comes out. That is why $550 is too high for just one video game, possibly two. In addition, I also want to use the ps4 as a Blu-Ray player and online streaming device for Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.

With that said, are you guys purchasing the ps4? If so, is money an issue?

Getting PS4 and Xbox One, even though I can't stand what MS tried to pull with the original Xbox One and all of those bullshit online daily check ins and nonsense, but there has been talks that MS may just abandon consoles after the PS4/Xbox One generation because shareholders or higher ups no longer saw console making as part of their company's image.

Money is not an issue.

Getting BF4 for PC though...as for Bad Company 3, not sure if that's going to happen.

I think the BC series was used as a "test" for console players. Figure out what works on a console, and go with the flow until they were ready to release a full fledged BF3.

Now its probably going to be numbered entries in the series unless they have some other experimental gameplay they would like to test on another side series.

I see the PS4 as the superior system but I would like to play halo 5. I wish bungie had kept Halo and do it on both systems like they intend to do with Destiny.

I'm getting the ps4 because PlayStation systems always have the best games. $400 is a lot but worth it due to years of entertainment down road.

money not an issue i had ps4 preorder when they announced changed my mind to xbox one just because it has a better launch line up. i still dont know why people made a big deal about the online check-ins i mean even my printer connects to wifi when i turn it on. my reasons for xbox one they have the better launch line up, i have no doubt ill pick up a ps4 if they are available for the holidays although i dont see my self playing most of their games im not big on campaign games, xbox has always had the better multiplayer experience. hence them having dedicated servers for all of their exclusive games and other available for rent to game develop. i know ps4 will have dedicated servers for some of their games but the rest seem to still to rely on p2p if theres one thing i hate is laggg.

What better launch games? The only good launch game is forza and that's it. The multiplayer is the same on both 360 and ps3 there was only one difference and that was that you pay for live. I'm pretty sure Sony will step up even more with their online now that you gotta pay for it but I don't mind as long as I keep getting free games like I do now.

lol dude everyone knows xboxone has the better launch line up don't try to make this playstation fan attack as im getting both consoles. multiplayer not the same finally playstation gets cross game party chat and those games you get for free are rented games. once you stop ps+plus they are no longer playable which isnt bad they just aren't yours to own.xbox lets you keep the games but they are old. honestly i could care less for free games from either consoles as they both offer games i already finished guess its nice if your a gamer on a budget. the money we have to pay now for ps multiplayer will more likely go to getting more dlc first as xbox has been dominating that.
