Ok well I had a drivers license here in AZ, all I have is my DACA and my AZ DL that expired OCT. 30, 2013. What do I need ? I am planning on going Thursday night to be there Friday and be in line before the MVD opens. I just want to make a 1 round trip so, any advice ?

San Diego? That is kind of close to the border. Why not L.A. or some place further up? Well, you will need to have a CA address. I would read all the requirements in the CA DMV. I mean if what you are trying to do is use you AZ license to get the driving test waived (?) just be very prepared to pass the driving test. I would also suggest going with someone that has a CA license or car. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/newtoca/newtoca.htm

That was my plan but another friend with DACA just told me not to go get it, it can cause problems with the FEDS if DA passes. Since I "changed" my address to CA, it would be like lying to the FEDS? You know how we are supposed to inform them if we are to change address. What are your guys opinion on this. Can this really be a problem ? she is kind of right, she said a lawyer told her this.

Yeah, I had not thought about that. You would have to keep a CA address and residency. You would also have to inform them of the change of address.

I just got my dl in SF, the only thing I was asked for is my work permit and the number of my social security (didnt even ask to see it) and I put down my address but was not asked to provide proof I lived at that address. They will send your DL to that address though
