Just applied for Advance Parole

My aunt is hospitalized and she might not make it so I applied after I got a letter from her doctor. So I asked the lawyer if advance parole will fix my entry without inspection to later adjust my status and he said no. I thought this would?

It doesn't "fix" it, but does it does give you a new entry with inspection and then you could adjust your status from there. I am applying for advance parole to go take care of my dad because he is having surgery in Jan 2014. I am also married to a USC, so entering with inspection will help my case.

It changes your entry from EWI to with inspection as your first entry is "forgotten, forgiven"

I just got an update on my case after two weeks. Did anybody else got this?


On November 27, 2013, we transferred this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. Just got another update. Did anybody that applied for advance parole get these??

The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed.
