Greetings, guys! I have come to you today with a set of questions. Well, first of all I want to give you some background information about me. I come from Ghana. I was admitted to the U.S.A with a B1/B2 visa. I arrived here in 2008 and was 15 years of age. While living in Texas I attended and graduated high school. Not resting on my laurels, I decided to go to Community college with the intent of transferring to a 4 year university and I am one semester shy of completing my associates degree. I haven't committed any crime. My visa expired in April of 2012.

Well, my question is, Can I still apply for DACA and receive DACA? does anyone here have a similar case to mine?

I met the requirements of:
1)being here before my 16th birthday.
2)not committed a single crime besides stay here illegally
3)was without status in June 15,2012
4)Graduated High School.

BUT be here on June 15, 2007. I got here in 2008.

Please, someone help. Sorry for the length of my post. Thank you in advance.

I am sorry to say, but you are not eligible for daca. Even if you meet 6 of the 7 requirements, you still do not meet one of them. To be eligible you must meet ALL of the requirements (http://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/co...rivals-process)

Not Having: "Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time; " -- Disqualifies you from being a daca beneficiary. Sadly, many others meet all the requirements except for the age. It sucks, but hopefully change will come to the whole system. Hang in there.

If you did apply, you would be denied and the fee would not be refunded to you. So it would be better to save the money. There are also free consultations and places you can talk to someone about applying, however I am pretty sure they will tell you the same thing.

Oh. I'm so sorry. My best friend is in a similar predicament. She meets every single requirement except she came here at age 16. It sucks, it really does.

Most likely it would be a waste of money since you don't meet the one requirement, but it might be worth asking a lawyer if you want to be sure.

Not sure how asking an lawyer will help no matter how look at it. June 2007 to 2008 is a huge gap.

You loose nothing by applying besides the filing fees but keep in mind that there is people who actually meet all the requirements and ARE still getting denied because they dont have enough evidence. What makes you think you will be approved when you clearly dont meet all the requirements?
