This is the only case with possession that I've seen on the thread. You could look further back yourself if you'd like. This person was already approved though.

Hello,

I was 18 years old when I was charged with possession of cannabis on school grounds with intent to sell.(Stupid I know) I accept the full responsibility for my actions, all I can say I was young and dumb. Anyway, I hired an attorney, pleaded guilty for possession and we settled for one year probation, and a jail tour. This brought it down to a class c misdemeanor, the charges would have been a lot worse if I would've pleaded guilty to distribution. Since it was my first offense, and my family was very supportive, the judge gave me a break. A year later, I went back to court, and the case was closed. I signed up for deferred action on April 29th 2013. I was scared to do it at the time, but then I thought about it, what's gonna change? My record isn't going to erase or anything. Regardless of when I apply, i'm gonna have the same end result. So, I took the plunge. Today, March 17th 2014, my EAD arrived. After 11 months of waiting, it has finally been approved. It's an awesome feeling and I hope my fellow applicants will all experience it sooner or later. Some of us deserve it more than others, but we've all been through a lot. If you haven't applied yet, I don't know what you're waiting for. We all have our fingers crossed for you. Good luck!!
