Good morning
I wanted to see if anyone could help me out. I submitted my application myself and they received it on May 28th and then on June 13 I received a notice saying "The I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office" I also wrote expedite on the form does anyone know how long it takes if you expedite the form? Also I applied for humanitarian reasons because my grandfather is sick and I submitted a document from the social worker explaining who he is getting treated by and the diagnosis which is a hemorrhagic stroke he is admitted to the hospital for will that be enough? Also I did not see that I had to show prove that I am related to my grandfather and I read in a couple of threads that people sent that is it required?

Whenever an application is transferred to a USCIS office that means that the application is under expedited processing. From what I hear about other expedited cases, it takes 2 weeks for them to process it.

You don't need to prove your relationship. Just getting the letter from the social worker is enough to suffice (because they can't give sensitive medical information if you're not family).

I hope that you get your AP soon. Good Luck!

Thank you for the information it makes me feel a lot better knowing that the application is under expedited processing already. I am planning on going to Mexico July 10th because my grandpa is having surgery that day so hopefully I will receive it by then.
