I tried doing a walk-in today because I'm currently applying for jobs and doing interviews. Said I needed to bring in proof that it was an emergency and for sure I wouldn't be able to make it to the appointment. I drove 2 hours for nothing. What's even worst is I found an ASC that's 30mins away.

Curious, is there a way to check to see if we have a Bio date without the letter?

Would suck to have a letter get lost and you automatically lose your renewal because you never knew the appointment date ever existed.

What time did you go? Usually everyone was recommending to go from 1:30pm - 3pm

I think you can call to ask if a biometrics letter was sent.

I went little before 3, and he told me they stop taking appointments at 3. He said that unless I have legit proof then I can't do it early. There wasn't anyone waiting either. Truthfully, he was a condescending jerk and if I wasn't there for DACA then I'm pretty sure he would've just let me do it. We got into an mini argument because he said I was there for DACA and I said I was there for renewal. He went on to say that I wasn't there to renew anything and that I was there just to get DACA. Let just say it wasn't a great experience.

I hope you get someone who is more personable.

Yeah I guess it depends of the person. When I went to biometrics for my initial DACA, the woman seemed lazy and uninterested in her job. She didnt even looked at the letter; she simply scanned it and allowed me to proceed. Worked out great because she didnt ask why I was doing a walk-in lol

Agreed. I did my initial biometrics in Austin and the officer at that location was way more chill than this one. She didn't care that I wasn't at the ASC I was scheduled for. I did go on my appointment date though just different ASC.

Did you tell them you were doing a walk-in?

I never encountered a problem doing a walk-in. I did have a problem at the SSA office with this one chick
