So... I'm filling out the DACA renewal documentation right now and I've noticed that part 1, item 5 now reads:

Quote:
Are you NOW or have you EVER been in removal proceedings, or do you have a removal order issued in any other context (for example, at the border or within the United States by an immigration agent)?
.

Previously that question only read:

Quote:
Are you NOW or have you EVER been in removal proceedings?
to which the answer for me was "no."

I've only had 2 GTFO-related immigration experiences in my life:

1) While still within status (at 16), I tried applying for a student visa, but was denied and told (by mail) that "This application [for a student visa] therefore, must be, and hereby is denied. There is no appeal from this decision. You are expected to comply with the terms of your current status and to depart from the United States."

2) A year later, an immigration agent briefly detained me and told me to go apply for a work permit or something or he would come to my house and arrest me in a few months (paraphrased).

I've got absolutely no documentation that #2 ever happened - I never got any letters, didn't get any sort of warning ticket (like what you'd get a from a traffic stop), and nobody (obviously) ever came to my house. I'm trying to figure out if any of those count as a removal order.

Thanks.

A removal order is an order from an immigration judge that you are to be deported from US. Unless you've received summons from an immigration court then the answer here is no.
