I decided to do my own renewal after the lawyer told me he was going to charge me $1000 for the renewal.

It asks if I have left the country and what is my status after coming back. I left in February to Mexico with advance parole.
Also why are copies of approval notices necessary? Isn't the EAD enough to prove you got approved?

They're not necessary but will help with the process. Also, send in your AP documents. You legally left the country with AP.

Do you not have your documents? i mean.. i really don't get why you would be asking something like that... everybody has their approval letters. Also where is your lawyer from so we can avoid such person.

Copies of your approval are necessary to let the officer know that you have been approved from DACA and so the processing of your application can be much faster, anyway make sure you include copies of douments (stamp on passport or advance parole document) you leaving February to Mexico so the officer will know you left and entered legally through AP. best wishes on renewal.

Whatever happens DO NOT even think about getting a lawyer especially that guy. $1000 for a simple renewal is totally a rip off. Just send in the documents the above have told you to and you should be all set.

No I did it all myself, it wasn't hard at all. I just need to know which address. There's a regular one and an express one.

I sent it to the regular one. The usps told me it was going to arrive Monday. My EAD expires 11/12/2014. I'm hoping it gets renewed before then.
