So I just enrolled in college. I need to get a parking permit cus the school's quite a ways off from my house, but I don't have a DL. I can pay for the permit online, but I need to pick it up at the campus police office.

Do you guys know if they ask for a DL when you bring your receipt in to pick up the permit?

Hey I went to Cal State Fullerton and when I use to pay for my parking permit online they just use to mail it to my house. I think you should not have a problem by picking it up w/ your student ID, just say you forgot your license or something if they ask you for one. But I don't think they will. You can just call the police station and ask before hand what do you need to pick up your parking permit as far as an ID.

No they usually do everything through your school ID, if y'all have one. They might ask you for your license plate number so you can register your car in case something happens to it on campus, but other than that, you should be fine. (At least in Texas, but it should be similar elsewhere).

Yeah I got a parking permit and I don't have a DL. All they asked for was to put a description of my truck and the license plate number but when I was filling it out I thought they were going to ask me for a DL or at least proof of insurance but nope not even ID. Well I'm guessing they didn't ask for ID since I had just paid for my tuition.

They asked me for a DL#, but I just left it blank. Picked it up with just my student i.d. (although I think they were more interested in collecting my ridiculous $300 parking fee for the semester than to know if i had a valid DL).
