I moved within the first two years while I was approved. I didn't change my address because I figured by the time of renewal, sending in the new application with the new address would suffice.

So by the time renewals application began, I sent my info. I got my biometrics notice with the current address and I thought everything else was fine. A few months forward, I get old letters rerouted to my current address from USPS. The letters were the warning about my EAD expiring and also my approval notice. Then i immediately changed the address and did an address change on USPS.

Now I checked the status of my EAD card and it says it was delivered. It must be at the old address because i dont have it!!

I just don't understand how they didnt get the new address info IF we are filling a new application.

USCIS requires that you submit a change of address form within 30 days of you moving. (May be less I don't quite remember the time frame). That is their requirement and even though you sent in a new address on your new application that will be their justification for sending it to your old address.

You can try going to the post office first.... a couple of months ago somebody had the same issue... the status of his EAD said Delivered... but he didnt receive it... and the next day he went to the post office to see why it says delivered when he didnt received it... and he found out the letter containing his EAD was at the post office for some reason...

Thank you guys for all the suggestions. It turns out they actually did forward it to my current address but USPS somehow lost it because my front desk never received it. It has been a very long week because contacting USPS or USCIS really is a pain. However, I just finished a call with a lovely customer service lady from USCIS and they will send in another card and IM SO GLAD she did not ask for another $400.

Now it's supposed to take another 30 days and in the mean time, my DL will expire.

Did you receive a address change confirmation from USCIS? If so What date did receive the confirmation and what date was your EAD approved?
