My biometrics appointment never arrived so I had to make a service request. I got a response today after almost a month and they basically said they sent it and it was scheduled for july 25.

They also said that to reschedule the appointment i have to go to an infopass officer and the nearest one is 200 miles away!

My question is, you guys think i can go to USCIS to get my biometrics done. Maybe if I explain the situation they will be understanding.

Thoughts?

I'd do as they are asking. It's their game and their call.

Doesn't hurt to try - I'm guessing by USCIS you mean ASC.

Although the one I was told to visit had an asshole manager.
So I went to another one with a very friendly manager.

It just depends on the person in charge.

But again, it doesn't hurt to try

UPDATE:

for those that have similar situation. I went to my local ASC and they allowed me to take biometrics. Basically, I explained that the initial letter was lost in the mail. They were really cool about it but I had to wait for 2 hours. I took my first bio app letter they that was scheduled for july 25.
