So, yup...

I expire this Friday, so basically the average time for cards to arrive in the mail after approval seems to be 4 business/mailing days. So if I don't get approved today I won't be approved in time to fill out a new I9, with my new info, with my current employer and I'll most likely have to find another job.

I'm hoping not to be discovered but the system kicked out an e-mail like 3ish weeks ago saying I was due to fill out a new I9 so I doubt it will "forget" this Friday.

I sent my renewal June 6th, confirmed arrival on June 9th... Not sure what is going on.

Has anyone else been this close to their expiration date and been renewed just in time?

Hate to say it but looks like you're expiring. Have you called? Filed an Ombudsman?

Yup I called last week. They said I will receive something in the mail within 2 weeks as to what is the current app status, they said they will put an expedite request but who knows if that did anything.

Have you tried discussing the issue with your employer's HR department?

You may be able to get an unpaid LOA (leave of absence) while you wait for your documents to arrive.

I actually just emailed them about an hour ago. I'm hoping they can help out in some way.

That sucks, how many days before expiration did you send your renewal.

Days before expiration was whatever the maximum we could get was. In other words, they announced it and the paperwork was made available, I filled it out and overnighted it the next day. If that makes sense.

Your app was received on June 9th and your EAD is expiring on friday, about 110 days before expiration. They said you should at least send it before 120 days and they would reject if you send it over 150 days. But that said, I am really surprised. 110 days before is good enough and all I can say is, sit tight man..you did your part by sending ur app with ample time. Give them a call and whoever you speak to hold on to them very tight and start explaining your story asap. Good luck man.

You did your part. Get Ombudsman involved, get your local Congressman involved. Infopass?
