I tried finding some information about this but couldn't seem to find anything anywhere. I recently got approved for Advanced Parole to go see my grandmother in Mexico, I live in Arizona so I was thinking of just driving down since she is in Tijuana. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience crossing the border with our Advanced Parole documents or should I just buy the plane ticket and do it through an airport?

Thanks for the help guys!

One of the first posts here on DAP was from this Mexican girl who recently came back with advanced parole she crossed the border. And there was one recent one in which they also crossed the border. I'm sure you can find the original post here on the lounge by searching Advance Parole and looking far back.

Good luck with your trip.

I drove to Sonora, MX and drove back in thru Douglas, AZ. I had no trouble crossing but I did have to purchase a vehicle permit to cross my truck past the city limits. It wasn't difficult, I paid $65.00 in Sonora.

A couple weeks ago my husband and i went to Mexico through advanced parole humanitarian. I am one of the people they talked about above that crossed recently. We flew into mexico through LAX airport but drove back to US through the Tijuana border. Was extremely easy with no problems & no questions asked. I highly recommend it.

I will be going to Mexico this Friday with my Advanced Parole and coming back, I will post my experience and let you guys know how it went. Afterward, I plan to apply for my green card, I'm married to a USC so I will also make an update once everything is said and done.
