Ap holding up renewal process??

Did anyone of you guys approved for renewal leave with advance parole in the last two years? Is it holding up your renewal process??

Shouldn't hold up your renewal.

I have BOTH renewal and AP apps pending. I'm starting to get SLIGHTLY worried about the AP app in particular because the time period I have asked for permission is right after my current EAD is expiring. So the AP depends fully on my renewal. No point of being granted that AP if my EAD is not renewed on time. Renewal app received on July 2nd, bio done July 28th. Expiring on Nov 27th. Trying to bounce around 25th with AP. AP app sent on Sept 8th.

I feel that it's affecting my renewal. otherwise why would they renew my sister's app when we have the same timeline and she expires 10/25. the only difference is I had left with AP.

Just because your cases have the same timeline doesn't mean the same case officer is working on both yours and your sisters at the same time, your sisters case was probably with a different case officer who works faster and your case is being handled by another case officer who is probably slow at making decisions on cases, be patient.

I sure hope so. Whatever the case is i have about 15 business days till I expire

There are people in worse situations than you. If you call and get to a tier 2 rep or go to an InfoPass appointment, chances are you'll find out your application is stuck in the Texas filing center. We can't choose which center our application gets routed to; it's all random.

There's nothing you can do but wait. If you expire before you're renewed, then that's that. If you want to be proactive as possible, file an Ombudsman, get a service request, contact NILC, etc. but others in your situation have had no luck in those areas.

After quite a bit of research, here are the ones who have travelled with AP.

Hmmm I'd be interested to know this as well. But don't know of anyone who did travel with AP and has already been renewed. Maybe I'll be the first! lol
