Hello everyone!

I recently applied for DACA a few days ago and I am worried that it may be rejected due to excessive traffic tickets. All of these are in collections (GC Services) and are attempting to make payments.

Would this really affect me application or has anyone been denied to a similar situation as mine?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Jorge

In the USCIS website, it says that "Traffic Violations other than DUI will not count towards the background checks"

They don't care that you owe money because of traffic tickets, what they're looking for is a criminal background or a background that proves danger to society. And it won't slow down the process because they check National Databases and traffic court things (other than serious charges) they won't even consider.

You're good man. And also Pay those Fines!

@Malignon O AP, thank for the advice. Do you know of any cases that have been denied due to this situation? Would USCIS see that I have those tickets?

By themselves they're not a big deal, but if they get a warrant for your arrest for not paying them and you get pulled over for having a tail light out and arrested, hell yes that will be on your record.

Is anybody else finding themselves in this particular situation where they filed as soon as the forms came out and they still have not reached a decision on their case?

I don't think that should be an issue. Have you tried to submit an inquiry to USCIS regarding the status of your application?
