I don't know. I checked and it says I have a 'thin' file even though my apartment + all utilities are under my name and have been for the last six months.

I think you are miss informed, that sort of thing, wont get you any credit. You have to apply for credit card, or get credit from where where, you get no credit for paying your regular bills.
