Was wondering if I should just show my new work permit to HR or just do it upon request or questioning. I expire in about 2 weeks and thankfully have gotten a hold of my new card. They haven't asked me about it so I was just curious. I'm guessing others are going through the same thing.

I would not show them until they asked for it.

I probably wouldn't either. Clearly they don't have any "trigger" to check on you, giving them might give them reason to put some kind of reminder or trigger to check after it expires.

I'm only staying till the end of the year, but I was leaning towards just not showing it.

I've already been sent a letter to show it ASAP or be terminated the day my EAD expires. :\
