My DACA and work permit expire on 11/16/2014. I submitted my renewal sometime around mid June. I had an appointment for my biometrics on 8/8/2014. My case is still pending approval. What do I do?! I'm a young professional working in the industry, will I have to take a leave of absence from work?

How much longer do you guys think my approval will take? Who can I contact to expedite my case?

I believe you will need to take a leave of absence, given that your company won't fire you. They stated that they will give temporary EADs but it turns out that its a blatant lie by the administration.

My company has been very cooperative in contacting the USCIS office and organizing a meeting with corporate lawyers to review the case and find out what the delay has been. Turns out that the only favor the USCIS officers can offer right now is "patience" and all I can do is wait. If I had a nickel for every time I heard that...

The lawyer I talked to did suggest I contact my district congressman and request his assistance in expediting my case. His office email me a "USCIS/DOS/DHS - Case Intake Sheet" where I grant the representative and his staff permission to receive and review any information contained in my DHS or DOS electronic records or paper file.

Hopefully, the office is able to assist. However, it turns out this congressman is a republican not in favor of immigration reform... we'll see how this goes.

For now I will have to take an indefinate leave of absence from work. Maybe this is good for me, to clear my head and figure out what to do with the rest of my life. Is it worth staying here if the US government will not allow me to exceed.? So far for the year 2014 the US federal government has collected just under $10,000 in income tax. I am such a hindrance to the national economy...

Tell me about it. Last year alone they taxed me 12k that's a thousand month. Yet they have USCs panhandling and collecting welfare checks like there's no tomorrow.
