Hi guys! I have a few questions to all of you who have applied , approved and traveled outside USA using AP. I am planning on traveling to Mexico in mid March and I want to know how much time in advance do I need to apply for advance parole. The reason will be "Humanitarian" I have an aunt ( mom's sister) that is sick and was put on oxygen so she can no longer travel anywhere, and I have not seen her in over 15yrs. Second..... do I have to have a pending application for a "green card?" which I do not. What should I say if the immigration officer asks me what am I doing to adjust status ? since I am not married, or engaged to anyone that is a USC. I will be traveling by plane with my son that is a USC. he is 12. Any feed back will be really appreciated it since time is getting closer.

Thanks!

You don't need to have a pending application. If the officer asks if you have a pending application say "No". Give yourself minimum 3 months to apply, but you can apply as soon as now. Be sure to have all your evidence ready to send in.

Do you need to send evidence. I have read that if you just write on part 7 in application why to go see relative that is suffice.
