Will this only apply to the new applicants or will it also be for renewals?
Those of you who already got renewals got them for 2 years right?
But people who will be renewing next year wil get 3 or no?

Those who currently have pending renewal applications now will have the 3 year DACA according to USCIS.

We don't know exactly how this will roll out but chances are that your card will have another year added in but we dont know how USCIS is going to handle old DACers

Reading off USCIS website, any pending DACA cases (initial or renewal) will get 3 year work permit. (My case is still pending and I'm a initial applicant)

Q9: If I currently have DACA, will I need to do anything to receive the third year of deferred action and work authorization provided by the executive initiatives?

A9: The new three-year work authorization timeframe will be applied for applications currently pending and those received after the President’s announcement. Work authorizations already issued for a two-year period under the current guidelines will continue to be valid through the validity period indicated on the card. USCIS is exploring means to extend previously issued two-year work authorization renewals to the new three-year period.
