I was approved for DACA/EAD renewal in December 2014, so my EAD card expires in December 2017.

For my last drivers license acquired with my initial DACA/EAD approval, my drivers license expiration date was the expiration date on the EAD card that I submitted as identification and proof of residence.

When I received my new license, I noticed that my drivers license expiration date is on my birthday in March 2017, 9 months before my EAD card expires.

Is this a mistake? Did any other CA DL renewers get the same thing?

I'd rather not deal with renewing at the DMV so much sooner and thus more oftenhan I have to

I thought SB-60 in Cali would allow people to have a drivers license without proof of legal pretense? Or is that still being implemented?

Since we have work permits and a SSN our ca DL expires on the date our permit expires, ab60 applies only for people who do not have legal presence and no ssn

So those of us with DACA in california can't use the sb-60 method for driver's license? I was under the impression that we could use either method. Can someone explain please, one of my friends is planning on getting his license but he was confused on which method, if he can even choose, he should use. Thanks in advance.

If you have legal presence you have to apply for a DL like any other person with documents, ab 60 is for persons without legal presence,
