Hello everyone,

After finally having the opportunity to have a job for the first time, I can now understand what really drives me and the type of career I would like to have for the next 20 years or so.

I definitely know I do not want to sit in an office in front of a computer. I would like to get ideas from you as far as jobs that keep you out of the office most of the time and which do not require another BA degree. I will start a list here:

1. Medical Interpreter

Pros: Flexible schedule, minimal education required is a high school diploma and a forty hour certificate. Job keeps you on your feet most of the time.

Cons: Full-time position jobs at hospitals are very competitive to get. Most interpreters I have met work for agencies as independent contractors and get paid 16-20 dollars per hour, with no benefits. Average hours assigned per week: 10-15 hours.

Omg! I am dealing with this myself. I have a cubicle job too and not really enjoying it. The only plus side is benefits.

That's what I told myself when I had an office type job. The health benefits were great but what for? The stressful environment was damaging my health and in the end, the benefits were really there because I would have ended up needing them haha.

I want my 30s and 40s to be filled with action in the field. Then I can settle for a manager position or something that is not as action packed. Life is short, we only get one shot as far as things go. So I really want to make the best of it and have fun .

I'd give my left nut to work in a cubicle
