I have spend hours on the web looking into this topic some say denial some say approved. Its based on a case by case, they say. My question is, is there any people in here that have actually gotten approved with a DUI in there record.

You know I haven't even heard of an approval. I was more curious to find out if anyone had gotten a DUI and had it reduced down to a lesser charge. I'd be curious to see how infraction are dealt with. If they are weighed individually and a judgement on a case is made solely on that detail or whether they weigh the totality of your packet. For example, did you have a run in with the law, but went on to accomplish more than a high school diploma (undergrad work or graduate work).

I got approved with a DUI, long story short, got busted on my 21st, blah, bhal, blah, yeah I know big mistake, bad image on us, made a mistake, but I worked with a criminal immigration attorney who got it expunged, then applied for DACA, my daca packet was comprehensive in my opinion, included my Bachelor's, Associates, honor roll proof, community service I had to to as part of a class, but eh included everything, and I got approved.

what state are you in that you were able to get it expunged? I thought expungemets were for infractions committed under the age of 18.

From Cali, I am not super knowledgeable on the requirements for the engagement in CAli, I provided the lawyer with the information and about 4 months later he called to provide the official court expungement , then we applied for DACA.

Dado123 that's great that you got approved!! If you don't mind me asking when did you get approved. My fiancé just applied not to long ago and we hope he had the same luck you did. He is now 33 and had that DUI back when he was 18. Like you said long story short it was a big mistake but now is good, and as you did we made his package reflec the good rather than the his DUI charge.

If you don't mind me asking how much did he charge you?

How long did you wait from getting the DUI to start the expunging process? Is this in Los Angeles? What is the process like, if you can elaborate? I'm on the same boat right now and just trying to figure out what exactly to do.
