Discuss today's contests in Nevada and South Carolina here. The Democratic and Republican candidates duke it out in Nevada today, and at the same time, the Republicans scramble for South Carolina.

There's not really much of a competition with the Republicans. Everyone but Romney ignored the state. He should have it in the bag but that doesn't say anything because everyone else didn't even bother.

The pundits are saying that Romney is set to win Nevada. Plus, I would think there's a pretty big Mormon population (relatively speaking) with the state right next door to Utah that would help Romney. Sen. Reid is Mormon btw and fyi.

94 percent of the mormons voted for him. There's a mormon conspiracy going on.

Damn.

So far, Romney has received 7 pledged delegates from Nevada. I think we should be worried about Romney's continued performance. Officially, he is leading the delegate count with 55 pledged delegates, and 6 unpledged RNC members. Despite losing in Iowa, New Hampshire and probably South Carolina, Romney will still be in contention thru Super Tuesday.

Lets hope that Giuliani pulls a win in Florida. And also hope that the RNC doesn't forgive the penalties on Florida for holding their primary early. With 57 delegates from Florida, that would catapult Giuliani overnight into the forefront.
