Hello guys,

I recently got approved for AP for humanitarian reasons. My grandmother recently had surgery. I am planning to go to my home country (Peru) with my girlfriend who is a U.S. citizen. The last time I entered the U.S. was legally and it has always been like that. My questions are the following: is there and issue if I travel with my girlfriend? If so, why? I want her to meet my grandmother who is old and no one know what can happen to her. If there is an issue, what can I do? Can my gf leave a day before and take a different flight?

thanks,

You girlfriend according to USCIS has NOTHING to do with you, she can do whatever she wants. Heck, even if she was your wife legally, it won't affect your AP

That's true. I was just curious, because the agents at inspection might ask if I am planning on adjusting status with her. But it doesn't matter because I had enter the country legally before.

Parolees can have immigrant intent.

If you were traveling around on an F-1 visa or something similar then it could rise questions, but even then CBP tends to not give a shit.

Thanks for your response Demise. I was just curious. They don't give a damn traveling with someone else? Is that what you mean?

When I went the first time around, I went alone and my sister met me abroad and we came back together. She proceeded on her own since she is a us citizen and I went through secondary inspection on my own. no one cares to ask who you are travelling with. they don't have to know either.
