I'm just a little concerned of what would happen when Trump is nominated as a President.
Would he deport all illegal immigrants? If not, what would happen to DACA? Is he going to take this away from us and lose our jobs?

Any thoughts?

So I myself have been thinking of next year's election a lot as my DACA renewal is dependent on the next person elected as President. So thinking of Trump, I doubted he had any chance, but as of late his poll numbers keep rising. So at this point i have to accept a reality with him possibly being in white house. I honestly do not see him cancelling DACA for us as I feel he is just taking advantage of this anti-immigrant wave to get elected. Also, with all the nasty things he's said about Hispanics in the US, i can just see Hillary running ads against him which will rile up all Hispanics to vote against him in the general election. Recall that even Mitt Romney got barely 27% of the Hispanic vote after being mildly against immigration reform (no nasty remarks). Trump doesn't look to get too many votes the way he's bad mouthing Hispanics every day. The rise in voting eligible Hispanics is drastically rising, so his advisers will likely tell him to allow DACA renewals if he's in office. Remember, every first term president plays it safe, not doing anything extremely radical, because he/she wants to get re-elected. Trump will want to be re-elected if he does make it into the white house. Now worst case scenario being addressed, the GOP is not really behind Trump. The big GOP donors, a la Koch brothers etc., are gearing up to fund (read: $1 Billion) and get Jeb Bush into the white house. Hence why the GOP is asking Trump to sign the pledge not to run as an independent if he is not nominated by the GOP. They know that he's the worst person for the GOP due to his divisive talking points. They're dying for him to somehow mess up bad and get knocked off. Also keep in mind public polling does not dictate if he is the awarded the individual votes from each state, to win the GOP nomination. There are a # of people in each state that control the GOP nomination process and hold the key to the votes themselves.

My last sound advice to anyone on this site who is a beneficiary of DACA, please go out and volunteer your personal time for the Democratic nominee (likely Hillary) next year when the elections start. A few hours a week, can go long in all of us being able to breathe with a sigh of relief and enjoy the normal life of going to work, driving with a legal drivers license and supporting our family members who were not lucky enough to fall into DACA. You have the power to make a change next year! Stand up and show who has the power folks....

I think we are screwed, its not looking good for us, NO dream act / immigration reform 2015 and 2016, but I've come to terms that I will probably have to go back to Mexico.

I hope who ever got elected would not strip our DACA. We contributed a lot to the economy by paying taxes and we don't even get any government support. Please next Mr. President, keep the DACA alive!!!

I don't think Bernie is too high on new immigration to the US but he does support the ones who are here already so if the choice was between Bernie and any Republican, I'd pick Bernie all day. I think Hillary would still have a better chance of getting elected though despite her current issues however.

And Trump? I still say he has zero chance of getting nominated.
