Can I put my mom under my health insurance?

I just started a new job and im wondering if I can put my mom under my works health insurance. I work in a hospital. Is it okay even though she has no papers?

It's really up to the policy being offered. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to add her.

You should contact your HR department and ask about it.

Usually, no. Only spouses and children on most plans but I would check with HR.

Unfortunately this is not possible, I myself have tried this for my mom as well. No go.

One workaround is to seek assistance locally for low income city residents. Not sure what state you live in. There are some public clinics that cover low income folks, after it's been confirmed (i.e. tax filings etc.,) they are under a certain income threshold. Good luck
