AP Approvals

Hello. I was wondering how long everyone got approved for AP compared to their original dates requested and length of trip.

I submitted my AP application on 10/01/15 and got my approval on 11/09/15, so about a month. I didn't ask for specific dates, but I had to return by 01/30/2016.

Here is my timeline for AP.

I am self-employed, and when I talked to my attorney about getting AP with employment purpose, he said it would be little hard to get it approved because I am self-employed.

But anyway, I wrote a letter explaining why I need to travel abroad, and I wrote another letter to expedite the process so I can have it all ready by April 5th. I also put my 4 years of tax returns that is indicating my employment status which is self-employed. I checked for multiple entries and wrote 365 days for travel.

I sent the packet out on March 16th with express mail, they received it next day.
Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center and accepted on March 18th.
April 1st, I checked my case online and it says "My Document Was Mailed To Me"

That was pretty fast! Total of 2 weeks.

Yea, but compared to your original dates requested. What dates did they give you for your AP?exactly the same that you requested or what

I received the AP documents today.

Multiple entries and exactly for 365 days.

It took a month to get approved. Was approved from the day before until the day after I originally requested.

Example: asked for April 2-12. Approved for April 1-April 13.
