Hi. I noticed a while ago, but I saw that the part of my I-797 Notice of Action for my DACA Approval (I-821D).

It says:
Notice Type: Approval Notice
Valid from xx/xx/2014 to xx/xx/2017

That's three years. But then I read on and I saw that it was deferred for "2 years."

This was after the announcement of DAPA, then I got approved, and my driver's license and everything else is for three years. I know they revoked some mistaken 3 year DACA/DAPA EAD cards to exchange it.

I would just like to know if someone has the same problem? Is it two or three years so I can prepare all of my documents.

And yes, I did search and skim through related threads, but I want to be certain.

Thank you.

If your DACA was approved between Nov 24 2014 to February 15 2015 your DACA is for 3 years. If your DACA was approved for 3 years on or after Feb 16 2015, then you have to return it to USCIS and explain why you kept it.

As your expiration approaches, you will send it normally (150-120 days before expiration) and once approved it will be for 2 years (until the Supreme Court decides on the case, which if it is favorably, would revert back to 3 years). This is all hoping there is no President Trump

Thanks a lot, Malignon. I thought that that was the case for the time frame. So I would have to renew it next year hopefully, if the program is kept -- and of course whoever the President is for that year.

Right now the Supreme Court see's it as 4-4 tie, and getting a Supreme Justice appointed by Obama and approved by congress in the Obama administration's term is possible -- but one never knows for certain.

Hopefully the SC reviews all of the information, and maybe it can be a 5-3.

Thank you for the information, though. It really reassured me.

If either Bernie or Trump win adios DACA for sure. If Hilary wins we can assume she'll keep it for a few more renewals until she reveals her evil ways as how Chyno would want it

Show source on Bernie killing DACA. Stop spreading lies based on assumptions you're making.

Edit: Foreign work visas are not he same as DACAers. So don't give me that excuse that Bernie doesn't want foreign workers. We are not foreign workers, we are Americans.

He's deluded at this point trying to defend Bernie as much as possible. Bernie mask his hate towards us in the form of hating foreign workers.

That's right Chyno clearly DACers are not taking away jobs legal/born here people could be doing. Clearly adding over a million people into the work flow well I guess legally now will not affect people born here. Yup only India and Chinese foreign workers will affect American wages and their jobs.

We are taking jobs. Even American people are taking jobs from other Americans. It is called competition.

Bernie is against corporations hiring foreign workers to substitute high-skilled people here in the USA. Look at Disney, hiring foreign workers to substitute their whole IT crowd. Also, forcing the current workers to trained them as well.

I am an Engineer, I would be pissed if some foreign worker takes my job away. He didn't compete with me against it nor did he work hard for it. Now if I was a contruction worker, I wouldn't care if an illegal took my job, I would just work harder and continue on my own. This is competition, on the other hand replacing high skilled workers with foreign workers is absurd.

Tell me what illegal comes here that ends up working as an Engineer. My dad was an EE in Colombia, he came here and worked as an Electrician and at a factory.
