I'm with crassrock on this one. Though the way I see it is this: you have the right to say what you want, and I have the right to punch you in the face and run like hell before you can get a good description.

^ Then it would be okay for me to start shouting racial epithets and stereotypes to people of color. Of course, the Ku Klux Klan's message of white supremacy is appropriate and they can start marching around the streets. If I don't like your mom for a particular reason, then I should start printing out t-shirts that insult her image and parade it around for everyone to see... Of course it's not okay!

People should be allowed to say whatever they want without any type of government censorship. (or protection)

However people are also allowed to respond to such speech.

For example, you can wear a shirt insulting my mom,

but lets just say it wouldn't be wise to wear it in front of me

same goes to the KKK or any Nazi group or even any leftist group burning a Flag.

if you go out in public with your views, either you stand up and defend them no matter what,

or shut up and go hide behind a computer screen like most "extremist" do.
