CA Driver license renewal

Could anyone in California please tell me how long it takes to receive a new driver license after renewing. I went to renew it right after I got my EAD. It has been almost 2 months since then. I have not receive it yet. My temporary license will expire next week. Thanks.

Driver license renewal usually takes like a week right? You might want to go in and check with them, at the same time have your temp license extended.

Don't they give you a number to call if it's late? I know over here in NC they give you a temp license and a number to call if its late over a month.

Any luck? Mine expires today. Sent my renewal notice like early January. Still no sign of the renewed license.

Did you send in the renewal paper that you get in the mail where they ask for a copy of your EAD? If so, I would recommend you just go to the DMV in person. When I first sent in my renewal notice, I never heard back from them. I went in person and all they had me do was fill out a renewal application, do the vision test and I walked out with a temporary one.

they should give you a temporary during the time your old DL expires.

i expire 2/2017 renewed online 90 days before exp in Dec '16 got it a week later.

Took me 1 1/2 temporary permits (60 days each) before I finally got mine in the mail here in FL. Just keep raising hell at the dmv and have them call to confirm the status everytime you go.

Normal time now, mine took almost as long. They told me I could get an extended temp if I needed. It usually shouldn't go past your temp license. Don't worry they are verifying everything, at least that's what they told me when I called.
